Travel Luxembourg

When you travel Luxembourg, you will find a city full of wealth and wonders. Forest will be found on the north side of the country, which makes up about a third of the country, while farming and tourists areas will be found on the south side. If you want to go to an animal park, you will be out of luck as there are no national parks located in the country. You will notice how tight knit this country is as it is the third smallest city in Europe. This small country is world famous for its banking systems and has one of the smallest populations in Europe of 400,000. When traveling to Luxembourg you will see that the city is actually divided into four sections. The main area in which you will be most interested in would be the popular Old Town, which is around the Place d’Armes, and Place Guillaume II.

Accommodation

If you plan to stay in Luxembourg City while you travel Luxembourg, I recommend that you go to the national tourist office. They provide you with free information on some places to stay in Luxembourg. If you plan to camp out you have no need to
fear about finding spots as Luxembourg offers an abundance of campgrounds throughout the country. If camping does not suite your need’s than, you may want to stay in a hostel. There a couple of hostels located throughout the country but they all are affiliated with Hostelling International. Many hostels are closed at irregular times throughout the year so it would be a good idea to call ahead. For a night at a hostel, you could expect to pay 14-18 euro. Single and double rooms could be from 26-40 euro depending on what hostel you are staying at. I only recommend a hotel if staying in a hostel is totally out of the question because hotels could be pricey. If you so decide to stay at a hotel you could expect to pay from 100-150 euro a night. Discounts can be found for some hotels around Luxembourg on the weekends or during the months of July and August.
