Travel Morocco

Want to travel Morocco? Well, you have come to the right place. Morocco is an amazing country that is literally a sensory overload to many travelers. The atmosphere, people, and climate are all intoxicating. Most of you who decide to travel to morocco will arrive in Tangier, which is where most of the cheap European airlines travel too. One of the many things that you will notice about morocco is the abundance of mountains that surround the country. You will find that traveling around morocco is an adventure in itself due in part to the countries’ every changing scenery. One of the more popular tourist’s destinations that you should visit is the famous city of Casablanca, which is in my opinion, the heart and soul of Morocco. So join me as we look at travel Morocco and see how you could travel Europe cheap and save.

Morocco Accomodation

One of the first things you should consider when planning to travel Morocco is accommodations. There are many Morocco accommodations to choose from when planning your stay. There are many camping facilities around morocco and an abundance of youth
hostels that are offered in this country. If you plan to camp which is the cheapest option, you can expect to pay anywhere from 17-25 Dirham. Although morocco is a favorite destination amongst tourists, there are still area’s in which you should be aware of, this is also true when in regards to accommodations. The safest and most secure means of accommodations in Morocco are hostels. They are just as safe and often offer the same amenities as hotels that are available in the area. If you plan to stay in a hostel, you could expect to pay anywhere from 20-50 Dirham. Showers are extra and could cost up to 5 Dirham. There is also an abundance of budget hotels that are available to tourists but keep in mind; you will have to share a toilet and showering facilities. Hotels can cost anywhere from 60-200 Dirham depending on what hotel you decide to stay in. I want to point out that none of these prices are set in stone; they all depend on where you stay at and what time of the season that you decide to travel in. These prices are just to give you an idea of what you could expect to pay. Booking well in advance for your Moroccan vacation is highly recommended and traveling during no peak seasons, during the winter months, will definitely save you money.

Morocco Activites

There are many activities to participate in when traveling to morocco. One of the more popular tourist activities to participate in is visiting the Hammams or, the traditional bathhouse. Many of the Moroccan community do not have hot water and they resort to coming to one of these Hammams. You will find at least on Hammam in every town that you decide to visit. Morocco also offers tourist many water activities to participate in. Because the country is situated on the coast, you will find many popular activities such as surfing and windsurfing. Hiking is another fun activity to participate in when traveling to Morocco and is popular amongst tourist. Many tourists try to hike up the highest peaks in Morocco and if you decide to do the same, be sure to wear a comfortable pair of shoes and bring lots of water.Hiking is a true way to travel Morocco.

Morocco Visa

If you are planning to travel Morocco from anywhere in the world to Morocco, you will be happy to know that you will not require a visa to visit this country. Your trip will be limited for no longer than 90 days. Travelers from South Africa and Zimbabwe will require visas.

Travel Tip

I want to point out that when you begin to venture further out from the city, you will find that public bathrooms are a rare site to see and if you find one, you will have to bring your own toilet paper and the cost to use one of these toilets can range from 1-5 Durham. Make sure to always use the restroom, if you have to go, wherever you can. Because the further you adventure out, the less restrooms you will find.
